Terms of Service

Welcome to USG Jobs ("the Service"), a job listing platform aggregating publicly available job postings from University System of Georgia (USG) institutions. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. The Service

USG Jobs is an independent, third-party platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the University System of Georgia or any of its member institutions. Job data is collected from publicly available sources and may not always be complete or up to date.

We offer two plans:

• Free — access to all job listings, search and filter tools, and weekly email alerts.
• Pro ($7/month) — everything in Free, plus daily email alerts, CV upload and matching, AI career coach, and application tracking.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access until that date and will not be charged again.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute job data from the Service in bulk without permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Service in ways that disrupt normal use.
• Upload content that is harmful, illegal, or violates third-party rights.

5. CV and Resume Data

If you upload a CV or resume as a Pro user, it is used solely to generate job match scores and coaching suggestions within your session. We do not store your CV on our servers permanently or share it with employers or third parties.

6. Email Alerts

By enabling email alerts, you consent to receive job digest emails from us at the frequency associated with your plan (weekly for Free, daily for Pro). You can disable alerts at any time from your account settings.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of job listings. Job postings are sourced from public portals and may be outdated, incorrect, or no longer active.

We are not responsible for any employment decisions made based on information found through the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, USG Jobs and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity or reliance on inaccurate job data.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used in ways we determine to be harmful to the Service or its users.
